Both delegates and visitors can enjoy it and generally it will bring more people to the BIC. We’re delighted that this opening marks the start of our relationship with Coffee Republic.”The opening of Coffee Republic marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship between the two brands and completion of the first phase of development at the BIC by Kudos Hospitality. It will provide the immediate surrounding area with its first coffee shop and an alternative option to the neighbouring hotels.Coffee Republic at the BIC will be generally be open from 8am – 6pm. When concerts, conferences and exhibitions take place this will be extended. It can seat 80 people inside with a further 50 outside on the decking. It is wi-fi enabled allowing delegates and the public to work, and will serve the full range of coffees, teas and herbal infusions. The food range will include different paninis, muffins, biscuits and croissants. Commenting on the deal Coffee Republic Chief Operating Officer David Reynolds said; “Bournemouth International Centre is the top events venue on the South coast. It attracts many different kinds of events from political party conferences and major international artists and we are delighted to be in such good company. We are looking forward to working in partnership with Kudos Hospitality and to bringing not only great coffee, but a full range of food and drinks to hundreds of thousands of visitors to the BIC.”Peter Gunn adds “Since the £22m redevelopment in 2005, the number of visitors to entertainment events at the BIC has increased from around 250,000 to 350,000-400,000 each year. Plus last year alone, the BIC attracted 62,000 conference delegates and 37,000 exhibition visitors. With the volume of people who come through the doors each year, the new Coffee Republic is a great initiative to cater for their needs.”Coffee Republic earned its place as a premium UK brand by creating a demand for its espresso based coffees and New York style ambience. |
