Bank
of Scotland Corporate Appoints New Franchising Head
Bank
of Scotland Corporate has appointed Daryll Windsor, 41, to head its
dedicated Franchise Team and drive forward the Banks growth
in this expanding marketplace.
Daryll
is currently an Area Director at the City of London Corporate Centre
in Bishopsgate, leading a new business team which focuses on SMEs
with a turnover of over £1million. He will combine this existing
role with developing the Banks national franchise offering.
With
25 years banking experience, predominantly in the Business & Corporate
banking sectors, Daryll joined Bank of Scotland Corporate from Allied
Irish three years ago. He had previously been with NatWest for 20
years and has lived and worked in and around London throughout his
career.
Bank
of Scotland Corporate entered the franchise market in 2001, the first
major bank to do so in the last two decades, bringing an innovative
approach to franchise funding. They also offer a wide range of banking
services and specialist support to franchisors and franchisees.
Daryll,
Head of Franchising, said: "With our share of the franchise market
currently at around only 5 per cent there is ample opportunity for
us to selectively increase this over the next few years. We are well
placed to make a real impression on what has been a fairly static
marketplace for customer choice of bank in recent years.
Daryll
continues: Uniquely amongst the major banks, Bank of Scotland
Corporates Franchise Team is part of Corporate Banking, whereas
other banks franchise teams generally sit within their small business
sectors. Bank of Scotland Corporates approach of looking
at things differently is wholly appropriate to the franchise
market and we will be bringing this methodology to life in our dealings
in the Franchise market.
A
further addition to the franchising team is Hoosein Dadabhoy, who
joins as Regional Franchising Director for London. Hoosein brings
with him 20 years banking experience, the last 5 of which were within
the franchise team at Royal Bank of Scotland.
