Kwik Imprints it's Name on Britain's Top Franchisor Award
Kall
Kwik, the leading business design, print and digital specialist based
in Ruislip, was today crowned the UKs top franchisor by The
British Franchise Association in its annual Franchisor of the
Year Awards.
Beating
off stiff competition, Managing Director Mike Hutter was presented
with the winners trophy by BFA Chairman Sir Bernard Ingham at
a glittering gala luncheon at Londons famous Savoy Hotel.
Kall
Kwik has been in business since 1978 and the figures speak for themselves
156 franchised centres, including four new start-ups scheduled
this year, franchisor turnover exceeding £8.5 million and a
total network value of £69.5 million.
Their
winning formula starts with the assertion that they put their franchisees
first, not their competitors. The goal is to help them make more money
and its delivered through the potent combination of a great
brand and an innovative approach.
At
the base of this successful model is initial support. Kall Kwik go
well beyond the basics such as legal and property advice and financial
planning. They also offer nine weeks intensive training, a tailored
marketing plan, and a dedicated Business Services Executive, on site
for the first two weeks of trading and available thereafter to offer
direction and support in every aspect of running the business.
The
Kall Kwik managers have developed a two-way communication flow. They
actively seek feedback from their franchisees and work on developing
strong partnerships and maintaining shared values.
Market
information is shared with franchisees who are then encouraged to
adopt their own business strategies. And success is rewarded through
high profile awards schemes.
There
is a national conference, regional meetings and regular development
workshops. And there is further support available through the companys
award-winning Intranet.
New
products and services are constantly being developed to help grow
franchisees businesses covering the full range of design
to delivery services - while they also have access to
the companys portfolio of corporate accounts, such as David
Lloyd Leisure, Dulux Decorator Centres and Thistle Hotels.
This
is where franchising really makes a difference and, as early members
of the BFA, Kall Kwik know how to make the most of the systems and
structures at their disposal. They have developed a formula based
on the concept of repeatability that allows for continual
improvement and growth, and the future is looking extremely good.
HSBCs
Head of Fanchising, Cathryn Hayes, said: "Kall Kwiks achievements
underline the many benefits franchising has to offer for those seeking
to start up in business. Franchisees have the advantage of joining
a business network, which is not only tried and tested, but which
offers guidance and support, as well as having a well-established
brand name behind it.
Director
General of the BFA, Brian Smart: The Franchisor of the Year
Awards recognise the very best within our industry those who
constantly strive for excellence to achieve success both for themselves
and their networks.
The
quality of all the finalists in this years awards have been
extremely impressive but the judges felt Kall Kwik really stood out
in the combination of breadth and detail they deliver in supporting
franchisees.
Express
Newspapers Advertising Manager Jon Notley added : Kall
Kwik clearly demonstrates how a programme of support can drive a franchise
network forward and we look forward to sharing their success story
with our family of over four million readers.
