National Franchise Exhibition
Women
in Franchising Zone launched at UK's largest franchise exhibition
The
Natwest/British Franchise Association 2005 Survey has found that 31%
of all new franchisees are women. In response to this, a women's networking
zone has been set up at the UK's largest franchising exhibition, The
National Franchise Exhibition.
The
women in franchising zone, sponsored by Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness
Clubs, will enable visitors to listen to experts such as Rosemary
Conley, famous health and fitness guru. Visitors will be able to speak
with small business owners and experts to network and gain valuable
business contacts, both on-line and off-line. Attendees will also
be able to discuss how to overcome the issues that they encounter
as a franchisee.
"We
are delighted to sponsor the Women in Franchising Zone at this year's
National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham," says
Rosemary Conley, CBE. "This year, Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness
Clubs won the British Franchise Association's Franchisor of the Year
for the second time (after winning the accolade in 2002) and we are
now looking to expand our operations still further around the UK."
Dawn
Charles, who founded the global networking organisation A Woman's
Place, will be leading a Work Life Balance workshop at the event,
where she will share her experiences with fellow businesswomen.
"Networking is an increasingly important skill in business to
build relationships with potential contacts and future customers.
Successful networking requires the ability to listen, establish rapport,
empathise and identify common ground - something women are naturally
very good at doing," says Dawn.
The
National Franchise Exhibition takes place on 7 & 8 October at
the NEC, Birmingham, and is the ideal event for entrepreneurs looking
to start and run their own franchised businesses. The women in franchising
zone will run across both days of the show.
The
exhibition features over 250 tried and tested business concepts, offering
opportunities to appeal to every interest and skill, from management
and business consultancy, to video and game rental, manufacturing
tool and equipment solutions.
The event will also include a Product Demonstration Theatre, a highly
interactive and valuable element of the show. This is the perfect
place for visitors to listen to the founders of leading companies
and learn about their inspirations, ideas and concepts. With five
45 minute slots reserved per day, this is the ideal arena for prospective
franchisees to sample the diversity of opportunities available at
the show.
The
National Franchise Exhibition and the Growing Your Own Business Exhibition
& Conference is open from 10am each day, closing at 5pm on Friday
7 October and 4pm on Saturday 8 October. To purchase tickets please
