Shere
Khan Franchise
Huge
Response to Shere Khan Franchise
Shere
Khan is on track to be the next and most exciting nationwide
high street brand with a powerful presence in all parts of
the country. Since
its franchise launch last month Shere Khan has been inundated
with enquiries from as far afield as Aberdeen and Plymouth.
"The
initial interest in the concept, a franchise opportunity that
is second to none, has been huge," says managing director
Steve Garrity.
"The
number of people who have contacted us from every region of
the UK, including big commercial centres like Leeds, Birmingham
and Glasgow, has far exceeded our most optimistic expectations."
As
well as the potential of a lucrative business, franchisees
will be buying into an exceptionally strong and well-known
brand that has high visibility and a formidable trading record
at the UK¹s three biggest out of town shopping centres
and on UK and international supermarket shelves.
Shere
Khan began modestly as just a single restaurant, albeit a
ground-breaking one, and has grown into a multi million pound
global operation with marketing networks and partnerships
in destinations such as Hong Kong, Canada, USA, Spain and
France as well as the UK.
Now,
according to Steve Garrity, those with the same entrepreneurial
spirit as founder Nighat Awan and her husband Rafique, are
being given the opportunity to share in that success by becoming
part of the Shere Khan Franchise.
"For
the first time the Shere Khan Group is extending its unique
fast food offering and inviting others to buy into one of
the most exciting business openings available," says
Garrity.
The
first Shere Khan restaurants were launched in 1987, establishing
a brand that is recognised today as much for its quality as
it is for serving up innovative and inspirational ideas. From
there the company progressed to a supermarket range of restaurant
quality sauces and then to Shere Khan Express, a premium Ocurry
in a hurry¹ fast food concept. It is this area of the
business that is being franchised.
Since
the opening of the initial Shere Khan Express at Manchester's
Trafford Centre in 2001, it has proved a huge hit with customers
looking for an alternative 'meal on the move' and its fame
has spread. Further Express outlets in food courts at Bluewater
and Meadowhall have prospered.
From
a simple, high quality over-the-counter service, the Express
idea has evolved to include Casual Dining. Rather than being
part of a fast food eaterie complex where diners sit in a
central food hall, Casual Dining offers an informal yet dedicated
seating area with customers ordering at a counter and then
relaxing in their seats as food is delivered to the table.
Explained
Steve Garrity: "The addition of Casual Dining to the
Shere Khan Express idea presents potential franchisees with
a versatile and flexible business opportunity."
Much
thought has been given to branding hot red, orange and
purple is the distinctive Shere Khan palette to create
stand-out within even the most crowded and competitive retail
environment.
"Shere
Khan Express will flourish at any location which has a heavy
footfall such as a retail food court in a shopping centre,
busy railway stations, airports and high streets. Much interest
has been shown particularly in the latter category which is
why Shere Khan is a high street brand in the making,"said
Garrity.
"It¹s
a fantastic opportunity for enterprising individuals. Franchisees
will be backed by exceptionally eye-catching branding and
an established reputation for quality food and those involved
should anticipate a healthy return on their investment."
The
over-the-counter Shere Khan Express requires a unit space
of between 650 -1000 sq ft while Casual Dining needs an area
considerably larger of at least 2,500 sq ft.
