Re/Max Break All Records For Growth in 2003 RE/MAX International has completed statistics for 2003, and the data verifies another record year in franchise sales and agent growth for the global franchisor. Net agent growth was 9,429 bringing the year-end total to 87,325 - a 12.1 percent increase. Franchise sales shattered all records with 754 new franchises sold - 22.8 percent more than in 2002, when the number of sales also broke all previous records. At the end of 2003, 4,730 RE/MAX offices were opened and operating in 47 countries around the world. "Obviously, we are jubilant," said Margaret Kelly, RE/MAX president, after reviewing the reports. "It never ceases to amaze and delight us when region owners, regional directors, franchise marketing personnel, broker/owners and sales associates truly express their dedication to their network. They do that by making it and themselves grow and prosper. RE/MAX was founded on the ideals of ultimate personal success, and when we see that thousands of people around the world recognize that their own potential can best be achieved in the RE/MAX network, it is very rewarding" The largest number of franchise sales for 2003 occurred in California with 51 new sales. Second was Texas with 47, and Spain finished third with 39. New England and Australia both had 32 sales, and the Southwest region (Arizona/Nevada/New Mexico) and Southern Africa each sold 26 new franchises. Regions in United States accounted for 381 of the 754 franchise sales, Europe had 251, and the remaining 122 sales came from around the world. Five
