PODS™ Is on the Move -- Announcing the Opening of Several New Locations PODS, Inc., are pleased to announce the official opening of new company-owned operations. They include San Diego, California; Seattle, Washington; and Long Island, New York. A number of new franchise locations are now open in Cleveland, Ohio; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Hartford, Connecticut; Wilmington, Delaware; Columbia, South Carolina; and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Franchise locations expected to open soon include Riverside, California; Toledo, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Gulfport-Biloxi, Mississippi; Mobile, Alabama; Pensacola, Florida; Tulsa, Okalahoma; New Orleans, Louisiana; and San Antonio, Texas. "We are extremely pleased with the positive response we get when establishing a presence in a new market," explained Peter Warhurst, President and CEO of PODS. "Frankly, the significant success achieved by PODS can be attributed to the outstanding number of referrals made by our existing customers. Currently, our greatest challenge is keeping up with the overwhelming public demand for PODS and in particular with the transportation of PODS across the country." PODS is a revolutionary concept in moving and storage. The convenient, cost-effective service system is unique in that the patented hydraulic lift system is available only with PODS. The lift reduces shift in contents and is designed to securely transport weather resistant containers to a PODS warehouse or from state to state. Currently the PODS network includes 258 locations covering 35 states, and to date has serviced over 159,000 customers in more than 5,030 cities. There are currently over 28,000 PODS in service.
